Chapter 01: Complete!
March 22, 2012
Achievement unlocked! That was the first Chapter of Fragile. What do you think? Hopefully there are enough unanswered questions piquing your interest! Regular chapters won't be as long as this one.
Speaking of chapters, I'm curious about my readers... reading habits. Some people like to follow webcomics week by week, others like to read chapters when they're done. If you belong to the first group, I thank you for cheering me every time you load this page. :) If you belong to the latter group, then I have news for you!
I've set up a Newsletter, to e-mail you when a chapter is complete and online on the site! You will also receive special news, such as offers, convention attendance or future book publishing dates.
I hope you've enjoyed the first chapter, and I also hope you'll enjoy the rest!

I generally check each day, actually. I always forget a webcomic's update schedule if it's not in the banner or the title or something, so I figure it's always good to be safe. Plus, if I miss a page I'm spoiled going back to try to figure out where I left off! Can't wait to see where Fragile goes from here! :D

If it is a comic that I like, such as this one, I generally check it daily, update or not. If for no other reason then to help generate a little ad revenue. Keep up the good work Shouri, liking this comic very much. =D

I generally visit the comic once or twice a week. Love reading it :) And it's getting exciting! Can't wait to see what's going to happen :D I'm guessing some drama will commence? :)

I just love your comic and can totally associate with Marian. I try to check everyday but, being an artist myself, I can't always get to it. ^_^

*squees* I recently discovered Fragile and read the archive, and have been eagerly awaiting new pages ever since! Love the story, the artwork, and the characters! I will definitely be checking in for each new update!

Congrats, chapter one survived! ;-) I usually check every tuesday and thursday... I'm too curious what happens next to wait longer. The one sister being so calm, the other so hectic... cute and very funny. Of course, Emily being in the same class as Marian seems to bring up a lot of trouble... well, let's see how the story develops. Really nice art, I love it! Keep up the good work, Shouri!

I'm another that can't remember the update schedule, so I tend to check daily as I run down my list of 'toons. :-) Congrats on completing the chapter - I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I usually check once or twice a week - I actually have this in a tab group shared with Magick Chicks (which also updates on a Tuesday), then have a separate tab group for all the MWF comics e.g. Eerie Cuties (obviously!), Spinnerette, Paranormal Mystery Squad, AOI House (which is now 7 days a week). Well done on completing Chapter 1 - we've now got a good feel for the main characters, so it'll be interesting to see how Marilyn and Emily develop while forced into close proximity for up to 5 hours a day, 5 days a week :) Oh, and hopefully we'll see Jen's gran again in Ch. 2 - she was awesome! :)
By Shouri on March 29, 2012 09:04 PM
:D Granny turned out to be one of the funnest characters to draw... she won't go anywhere! ;)

Just wanted to say that I love the comic. I found it about a week ago, and check it more often than I know it is updated ;) I have been interested in photography for a long time, but only recently have been able to pick it up as a serious hobby. This comic gives me fuzzy feelings about being alongside the MC in her story line. As well as being far more entertaining than my life. :D Thank you and keep up the great work!

I have a bookmark list of all the web comics I read and include the update schedule after the name and check on the specified update days. I always get bummed when the update days change or one is missed or late.
By Shouri on March 29, 2012 09:06 PM
Smart bookmarking! I always go for the RSS first. I hate being late on updating myself, but I still underestimate the work it takes for me to finish both comics ._. But I'm getting there! T^T

Congratulations on completing the first chapter!, and congratulations on doing such a great job on every page: great drawing and great script!
I love this webcomic so far, and cannot wait to see what comes next. I am really looking forward to see how chapter 2 depelops :).
I discovered Fragile through Springiette (which I more than love it) and I am happy I did. Now, as a photographer, I am madly looking for a Chop Chop Ninja Doom edition camera that will proudly replace mine, but those are scarce, aren't they? :).
As for my reading habits, I am subscribed to both Fragile's and Springiette's RSS channels and check them every day. I can say I get very happy with each new update!
Again, congratulations! :).
Best regards,
ZC
Ps.: The newsletter idea sounds like a really good one, and many people will like it for sure. When I knew Springiette for the first time I read through all the pages from the beginning to the end and that was a terrific experience, like a rush of enjoyment. The newsletter would mean the possibility of feeling that same sensation again (even though I actually know I simply could not wait long enough for it to come out without checking for the regular updates).

:D Thanks for the detailed feedback and compliments! (⌒▽⌒)☆ I know some people prefer to read chapters when they're done... and some people prefer to read them as they go updating... so I figured, I'd give both what they want, as long as they wanna read my comic! :D

Been reading this since day one and truly enjoying it. Love the story so far. Congratulations on finishing the first of hopefully many chapters. As to reading habits, I'm one of the update type of readers. Thank heaven for my "Morning Coffee" plug-in for "Firefox", otherwise I'd never be able to keep up with all the comics I read. And like Angela up above, I get somewhat dismayed when a comic misses an update, but after 50+ years, I've learned to cope with real life difficulties for artists and writers.
By Shouri on March 29, 2012 09:09 PM
Thanks! (⌒▽⌒)☆ I hate missing updates myself (generally over two reasons: not happy with the script, which bums me; or underestimating the amount of work it takes), so I'm trying my best to finish them a day in advance... :D
By Chris Connelly on March 28, 2012 12:34 AM
I generally prefer to read all through at once, it is a little more dramatic that way. But with this one since i love the character designs so much I often check in, though I tend to read quite a few panels at once rather than every day!

I read the first couple of pages when they were new and then got distracted and never came back. Tonight I was reading Eerie Cuties and noticed the ad and came back and read all the way through. I really like it a lot and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next. I'm definitely a daily reader; I can never remember all the publishing schedules of the comics I read so I just go in and check them all daily.
